Could you run, walk, or cycle your way to 100km during May, keep your fitness up during lock down and support a local charity that is providing vital mental health support to vulnerable young people and their families in your community? We think you can.

It’s going to be a challenge, but together we can #KeepTheDoorOpen and keep providing vital mental health support to local vulnerable young people and their families. And you get to stay fit and healthy too!
No, the goal is to do the 100km over the month of May. It is up to you how you take on this challenge; you can start with smaller distances and work your way up or stick to the same distance each day. It’s up to you.
There’s a couple options, many smart phones now include a steps tracker or you can use free apps such as Strava to record your daily distance. We will also send everyone that registers a pack which includes a page to print and write down your daily totals. Don’t forget to post in the Facebook Group too and let us know how you’re doing!
As part of this challenge, you will be asked to set up a 100K in May Fundraiser on Facebook for The Door. This is the best place to post your distances weekly or after every run depending on your preference. These pages are linked to The Door and we’ll be able to see your progress.
Yes of course! We know not everyone does every type or even any social media. If you would like to take part but don’t have access to Facebook call Anne on 01453 756745 and she will be able to help.
Of course! Don’t let us stand in your way, setting a goal of 100km and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic! (Don’t overdo it though!)
Once you have joined the Facebook Group you will find a link to register your personal 100k in May challenge. This will take you to a short form. Once you have completed this form our team will be in touch by email with a 100K in May sponsorship pack.

Facebook Fundraisers are the easiest way for you to fundraise. It makes fundraising from home simple! The funds raised are lodged directly into our bank account and there are no fees involved. If you can’t setup a Facebook Fundraiser please call Anne on 01453 756745
Go for it! –Simply choose a team captain and together with your team, you can set up a Facebook Fundraiser and join our community to complete 100Km in May either individually or as a group. It’s simple to do and you’ll be amazed at how many people will support you. If you would like to know more about getting a group involved in this challenge call Anne on 01453 756745
If you have set up a Facebook fundraiser then the raised funds will be sent directly to the Door. If you have raised money elsewhere you can pay it directly into The Door’s bank Account:

Unfortunately we can’t issue refunds through Facebook but people can request a refund themselves from Facebook by following the below steps:

- Select – I want a refund for my donation(s)
- Select – I made a donation by accident and request the refund.
Sessions are open for all young people aged 11-17 just like our normal youth clubs.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or if anyone in your household has symptoms, PLEASE STAY AT HOME.
– All sessions will be 1 hour long
– Sessions are a chance to catch up with friends, talk to your youthworkers and take part in socially distanced games and activities.
– Please arrive on time, not early and not too late, access to the session will only be available from the start.
– If you need to be picked up after the session make sure your lift is on time.
To keep you safe and comfortable please bring:
- Your own face covering (mask, scarf, bandana etc)
- Something to sit on – we suggest a towel, but blankets and coats work well too.
- Your own drink as needed (Sorry no sharing!)
Anything you need to take part in activities will be provided unless you are told before the session.
