What could you do with one hour a week or more?

Could you make a real lasting difference to a young person or parent’s life?

Our team of volunteer mentors provide young people with a chance to have someone who can help them work through difficult times and situations, offer them practical support or simply give them someone non-judgmental to talk to. Sometimes this is all it takes for a young person to begin to make better choices in life, to feel happy at home again and to realise they are significant and worthwhile.

If you’d prefer, you could provide the same support for the parents of a young person, helping them rebuild their family dynamics and provide additional support to parents and carers who are experiencing difficulties in parenting their teenagers.

If you think you could give approximately 1 to 2 hours a week, we will provide full training and support equipping you to make a real difference in someone’s life.

Here are some quotes from young people, parents/carers and current volunteer mentors about their experiences…

"You have saved our family, thanks you so much"

– A mother

"If it wasn’t for my mentor, I would not be happy like I am"

– A mentee

"It is really good - helps me talk things through and helps me think”

– A mentee

“I hadn’t realised that I would get so much out of mentoring someone”

– A mentor

“I feel this is a chance for me to give something back to the community”

– A mentor
