Door Step Programme – Co-Facilitator
The Door Youth Project, Stroud
Temporary part-time contract – average 8 hours per week for 12 weeks £11.49 per hour
For many young people the transition from primary to secondary school is a daunting prospect. This is especially important for those whose circumstances and trepidation may cause significant emotional, social and behavioural trauma. With this in mind, The Door (funded by Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group) is developing the Door Step Programme – a six module short course for Year 6 pupils, delivered from the end of summer term at primary school, across the summer break, and into the first term at secondary school.
We are therefore seeking to employ a Programme Co-Facilitator to provide session delivery and support. The role will encompass logistical support and session presentation for approximately 48 hours in total, plus familiarisation and facilitation time, to be delivered between July and September 2019, taking place at venues across the Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham districts.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with young people, understand the emotional impact of this transition period and available to commit, and be flexible, to the time constraints of the programme.
Full driving licence and use of own car is imperative.
For more information please call Sarah at The Door on 01453 756745.
Closing date for applications: Friday 10 May
Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 15 May
