The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential. 

We are currently looking to recruit a youthworker to assist our Community Youthwork Coordinators in centre based youthwork sessions as well as detached/street based youthwork across the Stroud District.  Duties include contributing to the planning and delivery of our comprehensive needs-based youthwork programme and activities. Full training is provided, as is ongoing support and commitment to your personal growth and development in the role.

Experience of working with young people in a youthwork setting or similar will be an advantage, along with an awareness of the issues facing young people today. While experience is preferred we are very keen to hear from applicants who are committed, passionate and dedicated to being an outstanding role model, eager to engage and support young people.

You will need to be available for late afternoon and evening sessions and own transport is preferred though not essential, to be able to access our locations across the Stroud District.
