Community Youthwork Coordinator – Stroud Area
Employer: The Door Youth Project, Stroud
Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £23,118 to £25,955
The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families. It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential. The Door received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2017.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced youthworker to deliver our innovative community youthwork strategy in the Stroud area.
Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, you would be responsible for running a team including a Community Youthworker and Sessional Youthworkers, working with them in youth centres, schools and detached street work, and engaging with community stakeholders.
You should have experience of delivering youthwork programmes, and be self-motivated and well-organised, with the ability to relate well to both young people and adult stakeholders.
Please note there is an occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.
The Door is a needs led organisation and continues to expand in the services we deliver. We find ourselves frequently approached by local authorities, agencies and other charities asking us to partner with them or to work in their area.
As a result our workforce continues to grow, and we are always on the look out for the right people to work for us.
We often have need for full and part time staff in the following areas:
- Community based Youthwork
- Mentoring young people
- Working with the parents of 11-25 year olds
- Admin & Support staff
If you think you might have what it takes to join the growing team at The Door, please send a CV and covering letter to email@example.com
