Chairty Shop Assistant

The Door Shop, Stroud High Street, GL51AN
Part-time, casual hours
Salary:  National Minimum Wage
Closing date:  Monday 15 April

We are currently looking for a shop assistant to run The Door’s award-winning charity shop at the top of Stroud High Street on Fridays and some Saturdays, and provide cover for the shop manager at other times as needed.

Reporting to the shop manager, you will be responsible for operating, cashing up and balancing the till, taking and sorting donations, preparing and displaying stock and providing excellent service to our customers throughout.  You may also be responsible for looking after, opening and closing the shop.

You should be reliable, with a cheerful disposition and commitment to good customer service, numerate and competent in cash handling, and comfortable working and engaging sensitively with a diverse group of volunteers.  This is a special opportunity to become part of a very friendly and supportive team.

You need to be regularly available on Fridays and Saturdays.  Having flexibility to provide cover for the shop manager at other times would be an advantage.
