We are Hiring – Youthwork Manager, Stroud

The Door Youth Project
Full time, 37 hours per week
£27,746 – £30,171 p.a. (aligned with JNC scale points 15 – 18)

The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.

With our youthwork services increasingly in demand, we’ve created a brand new role of Youthwork Manager, offering an exciting and unusual opportunity for an experienced youthworker to join our vibrant, award-winning team and be at the heart of this dynamic organisation.

You would manage our youthwork team of Community and Sessional Youthworkers and provide them with day-to-day support, so that in all areas where The Door is delivering youthwork the needs of young people and the wider community are met.  You would ensure that the youthwork team create vibrant, accessible youth facilities which follow The Door’s policies and procedures and that the Christian ethos of The Door is maintained across our youthwork.  You’d also oversee Illuminate – the Christian outreach strand of our youthwork.

You should have a youthwork qualification of equivalent at Level 3 or above, experience of leading a youthwork team and a full driving licence with your own transport.

Please note there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian

If you have any questions about the role, please call Victoria Robson on 01453 756745
