We are excited to have been chosen as one of 7 delivery providers across Gloucestershire to implement a landmark programme for Girls considered at risk of offending. This initiative is extensive and ambitious and represents a significant investment in provision from the CHK Foundation over 2 years (with the potential to extend for a further year).

In addition to being the provider of the programme in the Stroud and Cotswold District, we are also honoured to have been chosen to coordinate efforts and ensure collaboration across all 7 providers.  As such we are delighted to be recruiting two new paid roles. Both are senior roles and the salary band reflects the calibre of applicant we are seeking to recruit.

Role 1:

Gloucestershire Mentoring Programme – Programme Coordinator (Gloucestershire)

The Door Youth Project, Stroud
3 days / 22.5 hours per week, with possibility of additional hours from job share
2 year fixed-term contract with possible extension
£14.42 – £15.68 per hour (£27,744 – £30,168 p.a. pro rata)

This is a fantastic opportunity to coordinate the delivery and evaluation of an exciting new county-wide girls mentoring programme across Gloucestershire.  It’s also an unusual opportunity to join our amazing charity and highly-committed team, dedicated to supporting young people, as a senior member of staff.

We are looking to recruit an overall coordinator to lead this programme for girls at risk of offending, bringing together 7 independent providers across the county, including The Door, that have been selected to deliver it.

The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.

As a senior role, this position would be ideally suited for anyone experienced and skilled in project management, used to working closely with stakeholders, with a passion for seeing young people reach their potential.  The role involves holding oversight of all aspects of the programme implementation – establishing a brand and marketing, ensuring consistency of delivery and reporting across all 7 providers, managing key stakeholders (sponsors, funders and external evaluator) and coordinating the overall implementation, reporting and evaluation.

We are very keen to hear from applicants who are committed, passionate and dedicated to delivering the programme and its stated outcomes.

While you would be home-based, there will be a requirement to attend face-to-face meetings at various locations across Gloucestershire as needed.
