Answers to prayer…
We have had some great feedback from parents this summer about how much we are doing for their children.
Our Door Step programme is already helping young people want to improve their behaviour.
Our telephone mentoring service has helped a very shy young person open up about their troubles. Praise God!
All of our summer trips were a great success!
This week’s prayer points…
Monday 26th August
In the final week of the summer holidays, please pray for energy for the Youthwork team and that the week will be full with fun!
Tuesday 27th August
Please pray today for the grant applications we have recently submitted for funding towards Youthwork and family support and for successes to come at the right time for our capacity.
Wednesday 28th August
Today please pray for our ‘youth bus’ which will be in Frampton this afternoon and Hardwicke on Friday. Pray for crowds of young people and families to visit the team and for the start of new and lasting relationships in these places.
Thursday 29th August
A young person that went missing and was found last week is known to us, please pray we will be able to offer the best support and guidance that they need at this time.
Friday 30th August
Please continue to pray for the volunteer recruitment process as we receive applications and interview potential volunteers. Pray for the right people to come forward and get involved.
Saturday 31st August
Please pray for all the families we support, pray that as they transition back into the normal day to day that they still find time for each other and support each other.
Sunday 1st September
Today please pray for all the young people starting new schools this term. Pray they will find healthy friendships, not be too nervous and for a great start to the school year.
Covid-19 has caused panic and fear across the world. For some of the young people and families supported by The Door, their fragile mental health status prior to Covid-19 is being exacerbated in the current climate; many are feeling out of control and more anxious about their lives.
While we are seeing demand for our services grow we are also losing £500 every working day in income as a result of lockdown. Please donate today to help The Door reach every young person and family that needs our support, especially at this most challenging of times.
If you are a new donor, The Door will receive match funding on donations over £500 (more details on our website)
