This month The Door’s youthwork team have been running activities based on ‘Be yourself’ here’s what they have been getting up to:

Over in Avening the young people have been thinking about what helps and hinders them being themselves by drawing and labelling people.

The team also welcomed year 3’s to session for the first time as part of our summer inductions.

Over in Dursley the team enjoyed visiting the Carnival, Kathleen even dressed up as Dora (or should it be Doora!) the explorer for the afternoon!

In the Cam centre the refurbishments continue with the delivery of new chairs and bean bags. The young people have also been doing makeovers.

Stroud enjoyed watching the remainder of the world cup and enjoyed english breakfast brunch.

Becky continues to visit the Archway year 7’s playing games and chatting at lunchtime. This month she joined them on their charity walk to Haresfield Beacon. Becky also attended Home Start’s AGM in preparation for our work with them and our aDOORables project.

And finally term time has come to an end this month with parties and activities in Wotton, North Nibley and Avening, celebrating the end of term with games, food and fun!

Remember, the fun doesn’t stop because school finished for the year. Unlike many other services The Door is open in Stroud, Stonehouse, Cam and Dursley throughout the summer with a jam-packed program of exciting trips and activities – details of which can be found at thedoor.org.uk/summer and don’t forget to like us on Facebook for up to date photos and news @TheDoorStroud
