Charlotte our energy advice expert will be running an Energy Best Deal training session for at the Cotswold CAB offices in Cirencester at 10am on Friday 6th March.
EBD offers household energy consumers and advice workers information on getting a better deal on their energy bills by switching tariff or suppliers, help with paying bills and energy efficiency. The session will last about an hour, come along and find out more about what options are available and how you can help your clients (or yourself, one recent participant saved more than £500 a year) Feedback and outcomes from previous sessions:
- Just over half of the consumers who looked for a better deal found one.
- Forty eight per cent of consumers who attended the session have taken some kind of action to save energy in their home, as a result of the session.
- Ninety seven per cent of frontline workers said they felt better informed following the session.
- Eighty one per cent of frontline workers said the session had changed their opinion on the importance of fuel poverty for the people they work with.
Places are limited so please confirm your attendance to Denise via email firstname.lastname@example.org by February 27th.
Covid-19 has caused panic and fear across the world. For some of the young people and families supported by The Door, their fragile mental health status prior to Covid-19 is being exacerbated in the current climate; many are feeling out of control and more anxious about their lives.
While we are seeing demand for our services grow we are also losing £500 every working day in income as a result of lockdown. Please donate today to help The Door reach every young person and family that needs our support, especially at this most challenging of times.
If you are a new donor, The Door will receive match funding on donations over £500 (more details on our website)
