Race 4 All is back, this year bigger and better! Now truly the Race 4 All as the organizers have introduced a 1K run for those of the Ages 5-10.
Race 4 All is a 5k fun run up on Minchinhampton Common. People from all walks of life can raise funds for any charity of their choice, it can be walked, jogged or ran. This year the organizers are encouraging fancy dress.

Last year Teckles-Animal Rescue, Whitminster Primary School, Cancer Research and many other charities benefited.
Harry Gardner, Apprentice Fundraiser of The Door Youth Project says “many people have commented on how unique it is that whole families can run together, what’s even more exciting is you can run for any charity.
Some of last year’s runners have said the day was one of enjoyment, excitement and an all round family friendly day”

With the cut off point for entering getting ever closer the organizers are urging participants to enter as soon as possible. Why not run in aid of The Door Youth Project and help to save lives of Local young people, young people like Steve.

Steve (not real name) was 16 years old when he came to The Door. He had no confidence or self-esteem, as a result of constant bullying at school. Fear had gripped him to the extent that he couldn’t even eat in front of anyone and eye contact was non-existent. The Door supported him, mentoring him and teaching him new skills. Over a two year period they saw a new confident Steve emerge. It took time, but it was worth it. On the day that Steve left to start work he said: “When I left school, my ambition was to get hit by a bus, I wanted to die. You have given me a hope and a future.”

The Door exists for people like Steve, but they are still seeing far too many like him. Help the Door to help people like Steve.
