Services for Parents

There is no hard-and-fast rule book for parenting teenagers but it’s surprising how many familiar parenting problems have very simple solutions. From fighting at school to a teenager’s defiance or a regular homework routine, the issues you face are not peculiar to your family. In fact they are commonplace. At The Door we provide a number of services for parents giving them the tools that can make parenting a little less ‘trial and error’.

Triple P is one of the few parenting programmes in the world that is based on evidence from clinical research. For more than 30 years, Triple P’s easy-to-understand and practical strategies have been shown to help families in all types of situations.

At The Door Youth Project, we are proud to be able to offer the ‘Triple P Parenting for teens programme’

Triple P helps parents:

  • Create a stable, supportive, harmonious family environment
  • Teach their teenager skills they need to get along with others
  • Deal positively, consistently and decisively with problem behaviour should it arise
  • Encourage behaviour parents want
  • Develop realistic expectations of their teenager and themselves.
  • Take care of themselves as a parent.

We run Triple P group based training throughout the year at our offices 45 High Street, Stroud.  For more information about future dates either give us a call: 01453 756745 or click the button below to fill in an online form:
