Community Youthwork Coordinator Stroud Area (Maternity Cover)

Full time 37 hours per week

Salary: £21,471 to £24,493

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced youthworker to deliver our innovative community youthwork strategy around the town.

Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, you would be responsible for running a team of sessional youthworkers, working with them in youth centres, schools and detached street work, and engaging with community stakeholders.

You should have experience of developing and delivering youthwork programmes, and be self-motivated and well-organised, with the ability to relate well to both young people and adult stakeholders.

Over the past few years, The Door has expanded both into a new HQ and in the services we deliver. We find ourselves frequently approached by local authorities, agencies and other charities asking us to partner with them or to work in their area.

We have increased our workforce significantly in that time, and we are always on the look out for the right people to work for us.

  • Community based Youth Work
  • Mentoring young people
  • Working with the parents of 11-25 year olds
  • Fundraisers
  • Admin & Support staff
