ASIST is a two-day, intensive suicide intervention skills-training workshop aimed at those who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. ASIST provides practical training and is suitable for anyone in a caring role or working with vulnerable people, from teenagers upwards.
This training is aimed at:
- Statutory and voluntary sector workers in health and social care
- Counsellors and therapists
- Care workers & Community agencies
- Emergency service workers
- Parking attendants
- Drug & alcohol workers
- Housing/homelessness support workers
- Youth workers
